Spring Fun!

I love making flowers for the hair. I am in love with this satin petal flower.
It looks really good on who ever wears it.
I am really excited to make more colors and varieties!

My Inspiration

When I first became interested in Crafting I found an awesome book at the library that made me want to create everything under the sun.

I probably should have bought the book. Maybe I will ask for it for Easter or Christmas.

Seriously, I love her Mexican inspired art. She is so talented. I am not sure how Kathy comes up with her stuff. I want to send her a shout out and thanks for her inspiring me to do what I do.

Snow White Tutu

Don't you want to be 5 again?

I do!!!

When I saw this Tutu I gasped and then turned green with envy.

I ran out and spent my craft money on materials.

I was so excited to start on it when I got home,
(Oh and this is a BIG BUT)
I realized I don't have any matching thread!!!!!

My project will have to wait....
I even got my husband to watch the kids while I went to the store by

I was so sad, but there is always tomorrow or the next day or the next day to start.

I got this wonderful idea from Ucreate

Baby girl announcement

My friend announced her baby by giving each of her family members a Valentine's candy box with a onesie that said, "Uncle Dave" with a heart. I thought what a cute way to announce their baby. I thought this would be a fun way to announce our little bundle of joy to our families.

Once again my craft funds were out!

I had to think fast so I could have my creation done before we Skyped with family later that evening. (This was a few weeks ago).

I found some white onesies, some tulle I had used on a tutu (that I never sold, so I took it apart), and some fabric paint. The only one I could find was glitter.

I used my Silhouette, that my wonderful mother-in-law and father-in-law gave me for Christmas, to cut the letters out on Freezer paper.

30 minutes later with quick sewing and painting I had these two beauties done.

My family (In my hurry no "A's" were done right)

My husband's family

We are only having one girl, but we showed the onesie as our way to tell the gender of the baby.
We had fun telling them and then posting on FB that it is a girl.

I love fun frugal crafts like this!

St. Patrick's Day decore

I have this desire to make things look beautiful, but my wallet says, "EMPTY!"
It is a sad day when all of my craft money goes away especially when I have
super ugly things lying around.

Exhibit A: Ugly soap dispenser

If it could be beautiful and cheap I so would do it in a heart beat.
If I could make it beautiful, cheap, and festive that would be even BETTER!!!

I was out in the dollar store when I found the following.

This $2 find at the Dollar Tree became my St. Patrick's Day cute bathroom decore.

All I added was a sticker that can be changed next month to Easter.

Another dollar find from Target's Dollar section.

When my husband and I first got married we got this as a gift. I needed a holder for our
towels in the bathroom so I changed this picture frame into a towel rack.
Last month I used Heart shaped scrapbooking paper as decore and this month I
used my St. Patrick's Day paper. How cool is this!
I love fun budget friendly crafts that make my home look prettier.

St Patrick Day fun bows

I have had tons of fun looking for cool St. Patrick Day's hair bows.
I have some of them on sale on my Etsy if you chose not to make them yourself.

Pink Organza Flower

I love making hair bows! It has become one of my new favorite things. I found this awesome organza flower from Fabric Bows and More. I have made three different colors, but this one look so cute on my little model I could not resist showing her and my bow off. I love it!
